Evgenia Giannopoulou
Künstlerische Direktorin, HerausgeberinEvgenia’s practice is research-based and process-oriented, including interactive site-specific exhibitions with a strong sense for spatial manifestations of mystery, vertigo and love which are missing in our everyday life in contemporary society and in contemporary cities. She studied Literature and completed the Curating programme (Kuratieren) at the University of the Arts (UdK), Berlin; currently she is studying Visual and Media Anthropology in Berlin. Since 2014 she has realized a series of interactive site-specific exhibitions and public interventions in various big cities (Berlin, Istanbul, Athens etc.) and has worked at biennals such as Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016 and Manifesta 12. She is co-founder of the grassroots artspace Chaosmos ∞ in Athens (GR) and member of the artistic collective Vandaloop.
Evgenia is the co-editor of love & politics and the curator of the homonymous public program in Athens, London and Berlin. Moreover, she curated the guerilla exhibition Communistic Curating – Experiment #1 Berlin: This should have been a group exhibition by Kim Engelen, including the editing and layout of the exhibition catalogue.
