Dana Papachristou
Musicologist, Sound ArtistDana Papachristou is a musician and musicologist. She holds a PhD (Paris 8 and the Ionian University) and her doctoral thesis is about Aesthetics of New Media Art in G. Deleuze’s and F. Guattari’s Capitalism and Schizophrenia. She is a sound artist and founder/director of To Aesthate Research Centre. She is also a multi-instrumentalist, music educator, and DJ. Also, a founding member of akoo-o, a collective active in walking, geo-location, sound, anthropology and media studies.
Dana participated in the public programme of our collective project love & politics Athens #3 Sound interventions with an open discussion on Gilles Deleuze and sound, with publisher Hannes Schumacher.
